Willow Xena
Folk roots, new sounds.
Singer and songwriter from Cork, Ireland, based in Bristol.
Her new single ‘Fishgold’ is out now
Willow Xena grew up by the beach, but you won’t mistake her songs for breezy summertime vibes.
She writes of times past and tales forgotten. Blending ancient Celtic mythology with modern sensibilities and revolutionary ideals. A voice that calls out for the divine feminine to once again be recognised and revered. The cult of Willow Xena is not for the faint of heart.

Fishgold
A primal beat drones on as the lyrics talk of a deep yearning for a life more in touch with nature, where we could ‘dive for fish’ and create our own wealth on the land. A cry for more in life, accompanied by intensifying violin, relentless drums and powerful vocals.
The Crows
A story of living by the ocean, and how it’s not always beachy bliss. The sea is a powerful force with her currents and waves. She can drown you or drown your sorrows.
Síle
Named in honour of the Sheelanagig, and also inspired by these haunting carvings, Síle explores the way that women have not been given sufficient words or education about our reproductive systems, and how it may not have always been so. Includes many euphemisms in Irish, and a jarring key change. This is your warning.
